IMG_20180104_132213_385 1 1 IMG_20180104_132213_385 1/23 (COLLABORATION UTE JORGE LÓPEZ - JOSÉ MANUEL BARRAGÁN) RESIDENTIAL CENTER REFORM AND EXTENSION LA GRANADILLA, BADAJOZ This proposal includes the conditions of the required program according to the urgent compendium of needs that are required in the city of Badajoz when it comes to serving the elderly sector of the city, with the spatial materialization that is set out below: The expansion, planned in the western part of the plot, will house 80 new places for residents, with their attached spaces. Likewise, it will incorporate the reception of the Day Center. This extension is, in turn, capable of being extended longitudinally at its northern end. The proposal is developed on two floors, although its development on three floors could be further evaluated. It opts for a compact, rectangular-shaped volume, allowing the generation of functional spaces in its interior and the reduction of circulations, avoiding the dead and irregular spaces that occur in the existing building. It has been chosen to establish the relationship with the existing building through the two levels of the extension, since it does not seem functional to segregate the ground floors of both building bodies, which would make it difficult for staff and users to communicate in both directions. . GENERAL ORDER: - Circulation in the perimeter ring is altered, adapting it to the new spatial organization, distinguishing between areas for public and private use. Two parking areas will be created, allowing the roads to be freed for two-way traffic. In any case, enough space is provided to include a section of road surrounding the new building that allows to maintain ring road traffic. - The spaces for Medical Consultation, Rehabilitation and Hairdressing will be remodeled. - The administrative area is reorganized so that it can house all administrative services (management, social worker, care manager, waiting area, etc.) in the same space, and relocating the Library to the N end so that it is not located in a transit area as is currently the case. - The existing building is joined with the extension by means of a double circulation, connecting the lobbies of both bodies, so that the new building, which will function as the reception of the day center, integrates the spaces most commonly used by users of the existing building. - The laundry area is remodeled, so that its linear arrangement makes it impossible to cross between dirty and clean material. A space is created for the collection of dirty clothes in front of the access to the laundry, whose containers will receive the load of dirty clothes from any floor of the existing building through a hopper. This hopper is designed as an external assembly. - The warehouses are organized around a single aisle that is integrated into the service circulations of the plant. - The Personnel Changing Rooms are designed with the particularity of being able to vary the proportion destined for each sex according to the needs. Likewise, there will be booths adapted for each sex, to be able to serve workers with some type of disability. In short, a serious intervention is generated in order to give compactness to the whole and functionality to the existing building.

  • Hostal Geriátrico, Punta Umbría, 2015 | APT Arquitectos

29581378 3d-01-01 12 29581378 1/12 GERIATRIC HOSTEL PUNTA UMBRÍA, HUELVA Currently, visiting Punta Umbría takes you towards a modern town, with outstanding tourist and fishing infrastructures, where the most modern history is perfectly combined with the most recent, a fact that gives the municipality a tourism of special importance before which architecture must respond in order to assume the population it receives, especially in the summer months. For this reason, a “family-geriatric” Geriatric Hotel Complex is proposed, a sociologically coherent use that is compatible with the stretch of Punta Umbría beach where the site is located, whose land has certain peculiarities that will shape the intervention . Inside the site, the great unevenness that characterizes it is evident, in addition to the lush interior vegetation. Taking into account such different aspects, a formal architectural language was sought that would be able to adapt to the unevenness present in the site, with an apparently organic and irregular gesture but with an imposing order that is capable of giving a sense of the whole. The project could be summarized in a single wall that runs along the perimeter of the site: breaking, lengthening, disappearing and sheltering the different spaces that the complex has, generating a pleasant interior space that stands as a rest in the face of the wall's route through the entirety. of the lot. In order to take on the spaces, the wall offers great versatility in the cafeteria and restaurant area, as the wall folds into more private spaces and other more public spaces, all fully open to the street or to the interior space of the site. As for the gym, the specifications appear at the time when more private spaces are needed such as changing rooms and bathrooms, and fully opening up to the machine area. The breaks also occur along the project route, welcoming both circulation spaces and bathrooms and other services. Below ground, the wall once again goes through a different space within the project, such as the spa, which is understood as an area away from outdoor activity, seeking that tranquility and introversion necessary in this type of space. Finally, the wall is also capable of taking on spaces as important as the living units, which would be accompanied by a private outdoor patio where the wall begins to skew, giving rise to a certain permeability. In this part of the intervention, not only the wall is the protagonist: that organic but orderly geometry reappears on the roofs of these rooms and in the inclination of the walls in order to improve the quality of the interior space. The intervention in its entirety proposes a different concept in accordance with a place in which habitability varies throughout the year and has varied throughout its history.

  • Facultad de Comunicación, Sevilla, 2013 | APT Arquitectos

1.1 P2213633 4 1.1 1/13 FACULTY OF COMMUNICATION PORT OF SEVILLE Progressively, the city of Seville has been able to see how the port has become an increasingly impregnable area for citizens due to its strong private nature. It is immersed in a reconversion process that aims to solve not only the recomposition of the city-port interface, but also the deficiencies of the port space: accessibility through the navigation channel, the promotion of productive activities in the area of service, the capture and diversification of new traffic, the adequate treatment of environmental issues, as well as the rearrangement of the spaces that have been left unused due to the progressive displacement of the port towards the south. Recently a new urban planning for Seville has just been approved, which, among its areas of strategic interest, places a large sector of the port's service area in order to reincorporate it into urban dynamics. For its part, following the provisions of its master plan, drawn up almost at the same time as the urban planning, the port has begun to build a new access lock to the dock and to occupy the land used for new logistics activities. With this intervention, this problem is fully addressed by opening a large functional gap through the barrier created by the port. For this, a Faculty of Communication is proposed to connect the ships of the port with an adjoining plot, linked together by an underpass that brings the port closer to the city and, therefore, the river to Seville. On the outside plot, a building is proposed to house the administrative part of the faculty, as well as the necessary departments, all around a large central courtyard that is proposed as the beginning of the journey to the heart of the port. The next stop on the route to the port would be at the warehouses on Avenida de la Raza, the outer skin of the building gaining importance, where the thickness of said wall is enlarged with a space necessary to house the new lecture hall of the faculty. as well as the provision of restaurant and cafeteria services. Walking through said subway, we also find an assembly hall, since one of the main ideas of the project focuses on extracting from that upper level those spaces that, by use, should be closed and spatially colliding with the rest of the faculty rooms, like the library that, due to its size and spatiality, requires much more open areas. The underground route ends in the vaulted naves where, due to its proximity to the river, the most active and relaxed part of the faculty is proposed, housing sets, editing rooms, photography, information technology and a library, publicly colonizing the current privatization of the port of Seville . . Thus, it is possible to overcome that programmatic wall that port activity in the city supposes, granting it a new operation and making it a participant in the recognized activity and environment that the Sevillian citizen and its history provide. .

Parcela Imagen 4- Situacion-01-01 10 Parcela Imagen 1/21 SINGLE FAMILY HOME PUEBLA DE LA CALZADA , BADAJOZ As mentioned in the "Alcornoque 79" single-family house project, the rapid territorial expansion in the town of Puebla de la Calzada has given rise to the early appearance of new neighborhoods full of houses, making this milestone a key element in take into account in the design of this project. . The next house will be a continuation on the path of the creation of a new neighborhood that, due to its location, stands on the front page when accessing the town, giving a special importance to take into account in the design of the House. . Thus, the building is conceived as a constructive and visual banner that guides the other buildings that manage to create a neighborhood and, therefore, activity. The house has a ground floor that houses daytime uses, where the living room, kitchen - dining room, bathrooms, office and bedroom follow one another with a certain permeability and are focused on a friendly patio that gives light and relief to the whole. On the upper floor, the night stays are created with the privacy that bedrooms and bathrooms require, all of them exterior and focused on experimentation of which as places of full rest and disconnection, since the peace and tranquility of the adjoining area lends itself thereto. All the spaces in the house, from the moment it is accessed, are participants in a route with sufficient permeability so that they are not segregated rooms, but rather belong to a set of spaces with ease and versatility. . This route was the organizing axis in the design of the house, since from the moment it is accessed, a large double-height hall, bathed by natural light, both frontal from the patio and from above, allows us to generate a visible staircase that speaks and defends the permeability of the property, in addition to guiding us to the upper floor, where a distributor in flight with overhead light completely undoes the corridor effect and grants a friendly passage when accessing this floor. . The building - exterior patio connection is perceived in a very fluid way, where the possible exits from the living room and kitchen - dining room disembark on a generous porch protected with an exposed concrete flight focused on controlling the solar incidence. The patio is designed with total transparency because, despite housing a covered parking lot, the client is given a certain versatility to inhabit it and take possession of it in the way they prefer, because due to its size it is quite affordable for several options. . In short, the house is conceived as a large natural, versatile and permeable space, but with a powerful exterior presence that continues with the adjoining typological guidelines, respecting the formal building growth of the new neighborhood of the town.

1 3 pers1 (2) 1 1/12 SINGLE FAMILY HOUSE EXTENSION PUEBLA DE LA CALZADA, BADAJOZ The promoter receives the commission for the drafting of the basic project, the execution project and the direction of works for the reform-extension of the house located at Calle Albaicín, 18 in the town of Puebla de la Calzada - 06490 (Badajoz). The site is located in an area of residential urban land, within a network of wide streets, and regular blocks, next to buildings of single-family homes with heights similar to that of the project. . The projected work corresponds to the type of dependencies attached to a single-family semi-detached house in the characteristic urban environment of the town, consisting of a ground floor garage and a first storage room. The program of needs that is received by the property for the drafting of this project refers to the aforementioned floors, where the following units are contemplated: Ground Floor: the main access is from Albaicín street, from this it is accessed to the garage to then enter the interior patio which communicates with the house, in the patio is the access staircase to the first floor. First Floor: the stairs are disembarked through a corridor that gives direct access to the storage room. With these premises, a new construction of dependencies attached to a single-family home is projected on a plot of regular geometry and practically flat topography, whose building is of the attached single-family type in a row to other existing ones and which will be done respecting the setbacks with respect to the boundaries. in accordance with the regulations, and where said building will be executed on two floors, ground floor garage and first storage room, in such a way that the total volume of the building is thus defined and whose interior distributions will solve the program of needs. In the project, the section is considered a fundamental element for the configuration of the building, as it serves as a conceptual guide when it comes to relating spaces of very diverse uses, where interior spaces such as garage and storage room coexist with the flexibility of a patio with a pool where it is foreseen more public use. In addition, through the section it is possible to explain the seam between the current house and the new extension building, joining the two buildings by means of two incisions (by patio and by garage), a fact that annexes the two constructions in a single building and gives a sensation overall, one of the most important premises imposed by the developer. Thus, it is possible to bring activity to the whole of the house, in addition to providing a feeling of spatial freedom in an initially quite segmented building and lack of light and ventilation.

1 3 CEFALÚ_FORMATO 3-01-01 1 1/16 (COLLABORATION JOSÉ MANUEL BARRAGÁN) 10 HOUSES EL CAMPILLO, BADAJOZ The proposed building is conceived as a compact two-storey building that embodies the alignments of Jarilla and Costanilla streets, leaving an internal void as a block patio, thus guaranteeing the double orientation in all the homes. The building, in the shape of an L, and with the main façade facing the future square projected on Jarilla street, breaks down on the ground floor as an alley, allowing the public space (street and square) to extend towards the interior, until the community patio. This patio is configured as a controlled public space, a space for relationships and access to the different houses or apartments, and guaranteeing their cross ventilation. . There are 10 homes with a varied program of 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms, predominantly the 2-bedroom apartment-home: Ground floor with 5 houses: one with 1 bedroom and four with 2 bedrooms First floor with 5 houses: one with 1 bedroom, one with 2 bedrooms and three with 3 bedrooms, the latter of which are duplexes, taking advantage of the space under cover. On the ground floor, access to the five houses is through the alley and the communal interior patio. On this floor we find four two-bedroom homes and a one-bedroom apartment. All homes have a living-dining room-kitchen through two facing facades. The access alley will be used to place in it the common elements of postal services, cabinets of necessary facilities and community warehouse. Access to the first floor homes is via a staircase and a covered gallery, facing the interior patio. On this floor we find again five houses in total: one with one bedroom, one with two bedrooms and three duplex houses with three bedrooms and a terrace, taking advantage of the space under cover allowed by urban regulations. All homes have their own clothesline, patio or terrace space, and in their design it has been considered to guarantee the privacy of the homes with respect to the interior community space, generally turning the main spaces towards public roads and the secondary spaces to courtyard. . In short, a serious exercise in building siltation is proposed in one of the areas of the city with the greatest need for formal and architectural regeneration in order to revitalize the activity in that place. .
